Holmen Paper helps Wilhelm Kark get the wind in his sails
We are pleased to announce a new partnership with an extremely promising young sailor – Wilhelm Kark from Norrköping. We hope this partnership will give Wilhelm the boost he needs to fulfil his dream of securing a medal at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo and representing Sweden on the international stage.
The archipelago and nature have been a central part of Wilhelm’s life ever since he was a young child. Of course there is the sailing and other activities such as fishing and canoeing, but the sea is also an essential source of recreation and relaxation.
“As a sailor, being at one with nature has always been really important to me,” says Wilhelm Kark. “So I’m particularly proud to be entering into partnership with Holmen Paper, one of the most sustainable companies in the world. It’s reassuring to have Holmen on my side.”

About Wilhelm Kark
Wilhelm Kark is 21 and was born and grew up in Arkösund outside Norrköping. He has been sailing since he was little and quickly zeroed in on the Laser class dinghies. After school he went to the National Sailing Academy in Motala and since graduating he has dedicated himself entirely to sailing. His main goal is to get to the Paris Olympics in 2024, where he hopes to be one of the Swedish medal contenders.
